Anyone with a child who smells fingers or hands all the time?

I have a 5 year old who is constantly smelling her fingers or hands. It is becoming more noticeable. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this,

Update:

That is funny XOXOX. My husband said he did it, too.

Update 2:

I do not think it is a problem, I just wondered if anyone else went through this

My sister used to do that when she was a child and now she has a daughter that does the same thing.

My four year old began smelling his hands about 2 weeks ago. He cups one hand and then the other over his mouth and noise and takes a short smell. He does this several times a minute. Today, another parent thought he was having a bloody noise because he kept smelling his hand. I am constantly asking him why he does that and what does he smell. His answer is "I don't know." It concerns me because it's such an odd behavior that he does repeatedly all day long.

I'm not a kid, but I do that all the time. It's just a way of exploring the body and the sense of smell, I guess. Maybe she just likes the scents of food that linger on her hands--I know I do!

Could be a sensory integration issue.
