DO you think Wal-Mart has bad business ethics?
My diliema: I browse online stores before buying. Walmart will match any prices from other stores. Here's the catch; you can order items from their website, have them sent to a Walmart near you and pick them up, yet if you walk in and but the same exact item, it could cost you more money.
Oh yeah, they don't refund money that you lose in the kiddy games in the front- my two yr. old son lost a dollar-when I told them the machine was broke- they didn't do anything. I don't care about the dollar, but shouldn't they have better business practices- after all I AM a PAYING customer. Just curious -what happened to customer appreciation and good business practices? I guess they have monopolized the US so their attitude is, "too bad so sad".

Haven't you heard Walmart is the corruption of America? I mean, they sue disabled people! That's the hip thing to do, capitalize off the misery of society! If I want customer service, I go anywhere but Walmart, in fact...I usually go to Target simply because I can't stand Walmart. The stores are always dirty, the staff doesn't give a damn (because most of them are underpaid, disgruntled, or dumber than a brick), and I don't think I've ever been asked if I needed help inside a Walmart...ever....not even on the holidays!
If they are taking back money from former employees for healthcare (the disabled woman was an employee until a tragic accident left her brain-damaged and unable to return to work), then do you really expect them to fork over a couple of quarters for a kid's disheartenment?

Yes, their business ethics are questionable at best.
They are notorious for opening stores in smaller cities/towns. They undercut prices because they can buy with massive volume price breaks. The Mom-and-Pop stores in town go out of business, because shoppers go for the lowest price, regardless of how that might "cost" in other ways. When the town practically folds because of lost jobs and business, Wal-mart just closes shop and leaves town, leaving a black hole of an economic crater in its wake.
