My Printer, painfully slow now.?

Now, having printed the Printer test page, it has printed another fresh document but it has bcome painfully slow, Why is this now, How can the printing speed be restored to normal speed on my Printer ? What will help ?

    I have no idea, If it's a new printer I would take it back to the shop as something must be wrong,

    If it's an old printer it might be worth investing in a new one
