Why don't people like McCain?
He is obviously the best candidate. Who would vote for Hildog (who likes to lie about snipers) or Barack Hussein Obama with his racist pastor? It really confuses me. Is it because most of america has turned to ignorant scum and hates Bush and the Republican Party for no real reason? McCain has the most expierience, Obama has little, Hillary lies about almost everything, and Nader will probably run. I really hope McCain wins this November so that the country will remain stable. (To ensure real stability, we need to get rid of plastic pelosi.)

I honestly see more hatred of McCain on the republican side than the Democratic side(in the spirit of full disclosure, I am a Democrat). Sure, Democrats are not going to vote for the guy because of obvious policy differences and while most don't have serious doubts about his leadership abilities, his position on the war alone is enough to make many of us vote otherwise.
Now, I have a lot of respect for the man, but we have honest differences in what we believe is best for the country. There is nothing that says you have to not like a guy to not vote for him. Many of my closest friends are republicans, clearly I like them, we just have honest disagreements.
You should also know I may say something negative about Senator McCain from time to time, but noone is perfect, I say negative things about the folks I vote for too as well as I say negative things about myself. Doesn't mean I don't like them.
That said, I can think of a lot of reasons people might dislike him. He deals with and influences issues that are very important to people. You think about it, neither Senators McCain, Clinton, or Obama have done much in their careers that have had a profound effect on most of us, but many people have a strong disliking to at least one of them. None of them have held executive positions over us, so there impact has been little more than a vote equal to 1% of the senate. At least when someone hates a sitting or former President, there is a good chance they have a legitimate reason , like that person's actions directly impacted their lives or that of their loved ones.
By the way, I couldn't help but notice you used Obama's middle name, but did not with Clinton, McCain, Bush and Nader. I'm sure you have a perfectly reasonble and honest reason why you did that. I'm sure you don't think American voters are so incapable of rational thought that they would be influenced by such simple race/religion baiting tactics. I'm sure you used it because you respect the Senator so much that you felt his full name was warranted. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Let me start by saying I am to the right of John McCain. I am the conservative base...
John McCain by way of his previous statements has called me bigoted (during the immigration debates), money grubbing (during the Bush tax cut debates) and has voted against what I and the rest of "the base" have supported for more than 20 years. He authored legislation which restricted my right to free speech (McCain-Feingold). He's supported bills that have hurt the ability of the small business man.
John McCain is no conservative and I will not vote for him... I'd rather vote for Obama so the remaining republican congresscritters will fight against Obama instead of rolling over for McCain. Besides there's not many differences between the two. I say, I prefer the evil that is evil to my face rather than the evil that stabs me in the back.
Does that explain it?

Ignorance is Bliss. Well, at least obiously for you. America hates Bush for many reasons. I would run out of word space, so I can't list them all. McCain doesn't know how to handle the Economy and will run this country into the dirt. As well, he will make America more vulnerable to terroism by continuing the Iraq war. (Take a Lesson from a Real Republican- Ron Paul). McCain is a flip-flopping, shady, war hungry individual.

Most of the people posting like McCain.
There is no doubt he will be elected.
You get some really dumb answers here, so read them real well, the dumber ones are from kids playing around, an the outrageously stupid ones are from people who are not eligible to vote for one reason or another.

Many war-like Americans probably consider McCaine is an elite militarist during his presidential debate and speech. I personally think that he is a heartless Republican and try to maintain the Bush's status quo of keeping the ******* troops in Iraq. If McCain were elected, he probably amend the veto to annihilate Iraq and Iran by practicing his Republican imperialism. The outcome will make US government to print more deficits, say, 10 trillions more. He is as bad as the heartless and thoughtless two Hong Kong fascists, Donald Tsang Yum-kuen, and John Tsang Chun-wah. They don't even give the rat's *** of pension fund to the 600,000 starving Hong Kong senior citizens.

If Bush was right about things, how is McCain even considered? When he was running against Bush, his campaign said McCain was unfit due to his POW time.
Why's he all better now?

McCain is American and doesn't hate us so better than Osama Bin Liar.
However our next president is Hillary Clinton because she is the most qualified and will bring us back to peace and prosperity.

they believe that if you just leave them alone theyll leave you alone and if the deficit was paid off tomorrow that gas prices will drop to $1 a gallon and Pepsi will be 25 cents a bottle because some how paying bills causes people to charge you less for their merchandise

There are so many reasons not to vote for McCain it would fill this page. Social Security, the war, his mental incompetence. And you must be living in la la land if you think the country is stable. You should check get a reality check on the economy.

Well Republicans dont like him because he supports amnesty, wants a united peace organization and shares more policies with left wingers than right wingers, but you are right- the choices suck so I guess we have to vote for him
