Good God I wish there was a way that you'd have to accept someone before they were privy to your info.

I get at least 4 new add ons everyday. I block then I read the q & a's. If after a while they seem legit, I'll add them. Asking people to email first does not work. They won't do it. I'm surprised I didn't get one VN after Account Destroyer added me the other day. Fingers crossed you get so lucky. It really sux we have to be so careful. I'm thinking of retiring this account and starting a new one. The orange badge and being on the leaderboard in my "cat"egory make me a target and it's getting to be no fun.

Steer well clear of anyone who you dont recognise as a regular user, especially if other people are warning you too.

I only add contacts to those whos q and a's i have answered and know who regularly use the Football Section. I didnt add anyone for over two months of joining!

It happens to me quite a bit....I get VERY leery of it! I typically block anybody less than a Level 4 who's account is only a month or two old. Sad to say, but you have to be super vigilant on here and sometimes you take a chance of blocking somebody who might be legit.

I had a newbie with - points try to add me. I blocked, then got an add notice, and made sure whoever it was that was attaching to me was blocked. LOL, now I'm checking my account about every 30 minutes. Thanks, BUKtunia, for the warning! Always steer clear of these kinds of 'weirdos,' imho. ☺

I only allow contacts with people that have similar interests and ask questions and answer them on a consistent basis. I've been lucky so far, I haven't had ay trolls or creeps make me a contact. At least that I know of.
