stroller help?

I live on the side of a steep mountain & do not have a car. So When taking the bus to grocery shopping with infant what am I to put her in? I have a hiking back pack for the food, but I'm not sure of one for her. The road is very steep so any stroller would need to be very easy to manouver, light enough to push & lift onto a bus & not take up much room. Any suggestions?

The bus costs 15 & a cab 105 each way to the closest grocery and it it a three mile walk.

Update:

I don't have a bike. Nor am I allowed to drive in this country even if we could afford a car.

Update 2:

Since I'm not able to work as much with an infant, paying for delivery would be too much of a luxury.

I have this one that I purchased for a Disney trip when my daughter was 4. It's still around 2 years later. I like the bag it comes with for storage. I have the older model. It was around $50. I was able to push my daughter around with one hand. It would be nice for you also if you need to take the bus because it does fold a little smaller than most. I also used it on the DC metro and it was a breeze.

I bought an umbrella stroller from walmart for $15. It is lightweight and will go anywhere. It also takes very little effort to fold up.

Also, if your back can take it, you can try a snuggli. You wear your baby on the front, that way you are completely hands free.

    Consider having your groceries delivered.

Add: Look into it. Home delivery is about the same or less than your bus ride.

forget the stroller ... buy a 15 dollar baby back pack ... you can strap it to yourself, and put the baby in it ... and "Look Ma ... No hands." This way you're hands are free to do what you need to do ... you don't have to lift the baby for anything ...
