I am moving to another city. PO box question.?

I am moving to another city in a few months. I want to go ahead and get a PO box from my new city. The problem is, I wont be going there for a few months, and it's pretty far away. Can I get the PO Box online, and just have the mail sent to it, forwarded to me until I get there

You should wait until you get close to moving, say a few weeks. You can go to the post office in the city you are moving to and get a new post office box. Then go to the post office in your current city and have them forward your mail to the new post office box. You just need to fill out a form to forward your mail to the new P.O. box. You would then need to contact the senders (the people sending you the mail) and give them your new P.O. box number.

You should be able to get a PO box in your new city and fill in the postal office questioner for moving with the mail being forwarded to you current address until you move to your new place. They have made it really easy now.

You have to show a driver license or other ID card to get a PO Box, so you will likely need to visit the town to get a new box. Sorry!!

Not unless you have something that proves you'll be living in that city, like a lease or rent receipt.
