My favourite poem changes on a daily basis.

But I like this one today - partly because I know the person who wrote it.

The best poem I ever read was not one I liked - it disturbed me and actually made me cry. And it still does when I read it now. It is called Protocols by Randall Jarrell

It is two dead children speaking., so some of the lines should be in italics to differentiate the two voices.

It is about the gas chambers at Birkenau (Odessa)

If you get the chance please try and read the whole poem.

I can't find my copy of it at the moment.

    This is the last verse

And I was tired and fell in in my sleep

And the water drank me. That is what I think.

And I said to my mother, "Now I'm washed and dried,"

My mother hugged me, and it smelled like hay

And that is how you die. And that is how you die.

    (gas smells like hay)

There are too many greats! I really like "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas.

There is really a lot of passion in every word of this poem.

"Creamy Love" It's the one that all of my friends like and its my first to be published. Its also my most original and is always fun to read : P

*oops, i thought you asked what the best poem i've ever written was... I think my favorite one that i've read is Fire and Ice by Robert Frost.

the rose that grew from concrete

did you hear about the rose that gre from a crack in the concrete?

proving natures law is wrong it learned to walk without having feet

funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,

it learned to breathe fresh air - long live the rose that grew from concrete,

when no one else ever cared

    - Tupac Amuru Shakur

    pretty self explanitory
