can the digital rebel xt accept a constant power supply?
I have been wanting to do time lapse photography, and i was wondering if the Canon digital rebel xt can accept an AC power source. If not, are there adapters that take the place of the battery that is also plugged in?

Yes, it can via the Canon ACK-700 AC Adapter, at least according to Canon's specifications.
Just about anyone using the XT for astronomical photography should be able to point you to the right equipment.
The ACK-700 should come with the DR-700 insert which goes into the battery compartment.
