It's okay to give and receive blood transfusions.
Source(s): Belong to a four square church myself. Transfusions has never been an issue that I've heard of. - grnlowLv 71 decade ago
Well when the Gentiles were being let in to Christianity, there were arguments over what must be required of them to participate. Some wanted them to go through all things Jews had to in Jewish religion. Others were more forgiving. Finally it was narrowed down by the governing body of apostles and elders to "these necessary things" in Acts 15:20, 29. One of those few was to "abstain from Blood".
These would today mean receiving blood. It follows reasonably that not receiving but giving blood for others to commit a sin would be hypocritical of us.

I joined the Red Cross' "Gallon Club" years ago.
I don't know what Foursquare means, but I'm a Christian and I've given blood at least once a year for the last 36 years. Lately though, they seem to reject me. My blood is apparently now too slow for them.

I am a Christian, and I have given blood. I figure, as a Christian, It is only a loving gesture to do what I can for others as a love for others. If it could save someones life if I give blood, then I think it I should. If it meant saving my life, I would also accept blood. I believe in the healing power of God, but sometimes God expects me to use the resources He has blessed me with.
