Have you ever been called ugly?

Think about the top models and actresses out there - there are always people that don't like them and call them ugly (when really on the street some of these women would be drop dead gorgeous). Just shows that people are a) quick to use the word for anything that they don't like the about a person and b) everyone's taste differs.

I could add a c) that some people like to bring other people down however they can and if they can't find something they will make it up. I had a boy in school once call me dumbo and say I had big stick out ears. I actually laughed because if there is one thing I know about myself, it is that I don't have stick-out ears so I KNEW he was just trying to hurt me by making something, anything, up.

A few times, and on here as well (and it wasn't a pretty question but a "how can I do my make up" question). I've gotten it when I was younger, but seldomly and I still get it ocassionally now and I'm 23. But I also have gotten and do currently get the complete opposite. Sometimes I just don't understand people...

It's happened both with and without make up so I know it's probably just something different about my face :/

yup..brothers and sisters can be very cruel, when ever my brother and i get in fights he calls me ugly. its comon for people in school(the meanie ones) to call you ugly. If it makes you feel any better once by a teacher u was told that my hair wasnt ecceptible for school, i had to find a better style. I had never put any pics on the internet. You werent ugly, no one is. EVERYONE has their weaknesses, and can be fixed. Im glad no one calls you ugly anymore.

i have always been called ugly though out school and probably still am being called ugly at the age of 30.

i just tell them not to look at me and i move on. F them anyway.

That's common for meanies in school to call other students ugly, unfortunately. The key is to not take it to heart and move on. I'm constantly amazed at how mean kids can be to each other. It's horrible.

i guess when youre growing up you change so in the process you look temporarily ugly or wierd or something.

i would say just forget it.now youre pretty right enjoy it!!!!!!!!

I think it's extremely low and mean for people to call other people ugly. Just because to them they might appear ugly, does not in any way mean that they ARE ugly. every single person is beautiful in their own way.

I've been called ugly by a few people and pretty by others. Now I really don't care.

Kids please know this; what's ugly depends on who's doing the looking. Anyone who would say such a thing is very superficial to begin with; and most kids are superficial. It's the only time in your life that it's acceptable.

Yepp ive been called ugly but its by people i dont care about and the people that mean the most to me dont see it so what do i care. Ive been asked to model at abercrombie kids so obvi. some people see something in me.
