im in the 7th grade
all accelerated classes
and i make 30s in science all the time
i just bring them back up with more 100s
also try to do more extra-credits
and whatever your teacher lets you do
tell your mom right now that you made a 30.
after that just try harder
schedule some time to study
ask her for help
chances are you'll do much better on the next test!
GOOD LUCK!

glad i'm not in your spot. tell her that this has made u realise that you need to study harder. Try using study software to improve the way u study. You could even ask her to buy it for you! ;-) Search 4 study software on search engine - just make sure it does mind-mapping and tests you on your stuff (they're the best ways 2 remember the stuff you need to know).
good luck!

say, "mom, i have good news and bad news. the good news is that from now on i'm going to study really hard and do well in my classes. the bad news is that i didn't do that last time and completely blew a test. do you think you could help me figure out a way to schedule my time so i study better?"

First you should see if she has to sign it. Then you could try to remediate before she finds out. You could go to her and tell her about the test and accept your punishment or she might get you a tutor. Or you could wait for progress reprts or the teacher to call her and that could be worst.

don't lie tell her the truth let her know that you messed up and you'll try harder. Maybe you could ask teacher for extra credit.
This would show your mom how sorry you really are. and If punishment happens take it. just try harder next time maybe you can have your mom help you study next time.
