Could somebody please help with opening rar files?
When I download rar files I extract them using the "ExtractNow" program. Usually it works fine. However, I have a couple of files that won't go... When I drag & drop them into ExtractNow, and click on "extract" I just get a message: "Cannot find next volume".
Does anyone have a fix for this? A second problem is that one file will not drag & drop into ExtractNow. I mean, I can drag it on the desktop but it refuses to drop into the ExtractNow. Weird...Love to know how to fix that too...
I will give points for the best answer! (This is only my scond question here -- so I won't forget!!) Many thanks!

Rar files work sometime in a chain, like a train... The first one on the train is the '.rar' (or sometimes the 001) file, the next car on the train is '.r00' (or 002) then '.r01', '.r02' and so on and so on...
Make sure you have all the files in the same directory as the first file, to identify which one belongs to which, they are all called the same before the file extension, 'example.rar', 'example.r01', 'example.r02'.
Good luck!

The "cannot find next volume" message means that the RAR file you are trying to extract was split up into more than one file (usually done to make it easier to download in chunks). When split, RARs end up with a "main" RAR file which also points to the .R00 .R01 .R02 pieces of the archive. You are probably missing a piece.

First deploy a software mentioned as 7Zip. incredibly user-friendly deploy. Then desirable click on the .rar report and choose open with then discover 7Zip report supervisor or seek for it the place you put in it. that's all assuming you're utilising domicile windows

Hey. Try using Winrar! http://www.rarlab.com/ - its so much better for opening rar files, and you should have no problems extracting everything from the folder.

usually Cannot find next volume, referes to multi disk spanning which is a very large file that has been split into a bunch of pieces. (you dont have all the pieces so it wont open)
I am not familiar with exactnow. Have you tried WINRAR ? or WINZIP

Download 7zip and use it to extract archived files.
Run the test/repair utility to see if it can get the volume or not
