Homosexuality as a form of personality?

Do you see our sexual orientation as one of our traits (personality)?

If we see homosexuality as one of our personalities, does it mean that we can change our sexual orientation with enough training (since we can change our personality, but we have to try hard to change our personality)? Also, does it mean that the environment that we live in also contribute to our sexual orientation (in addition to genetics...)?

Update:

For the "left handed" comment: I think the left-handed can change to right-handed with enough practice, but they just do not write well with their right hand.

Update 2:

Yes, heterosexuality is also a form of personality. So, I believe that straight people can turn to gays...

    I dont believe its a form of someones personality. Its either a yes or a no for being gay. Its more of ones orientation than personality.

    I think of sexual orientation as a personality trait that can't be changed, like someone who is left handed.

    I think that being homosexual can influence one's personality- but I'm pretty sure that our personality is comprised of a number of things. You can only have one personality (unless you are special)- your reactions to situations are not different personalities- they are simply you expressing what you personally feel/believe based on previous engagements.

    No. That would be like saying heterosexuality is a personality trait. Being gay is deeper than that. It is a state of being.

    I'm sorry but you are wrong I have heard of too many scientific studies that prove, along with several gay friends that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that people are born that way.

    Homosexuality is one of those things that has serious impact on people interaction. Such impact is what has changed our personality

    Homosexuality is definately not a form of personality .

    We do not act homosexual also we do not act hetrosexual , it's how we are made . Get it straight !

    well, i think it depends on the person, because i used to be straight, but then later "turned" ( i kno bad word for it) bi. i didnt really *try* to change it tho, it just kinda happened
