Trafford Centre - bus from Manchester airport info -?
I'm flying over to Manchester for a shopping day trip and want to go to the Trafford Centre. I've been a few times, catching the bus from town (Picadilly Gardens) but looking at the various websites, it looks as though I can get a number 18 bus from Manchester Airport, straight to the Trafford Centre.
Can anybody tell me more about this e.g to which terminal do I have to go to get the bus? How long it takes? Do I have to change buses along the way? How much? Anything else you think I should know!
Thanks

I've just looked on the GMPTE website at their travel planner, and it says that you need to get the number 18 from "Manchester Airport The Station MALAGA AVENUE"

Put "Trafford Centre Bus Station TRAFFORD BLVD" in as the destination.
Here's a timetable of the bus

The bus takes an hour- I think it's probably quicker to go into town and out again

Take the 43 from the Airport bus station into Wythenshawe bus station. It is not much more than a five minute journey. Then you want the number 18, this will take you all the way to the Trafford Centre.
The 43 is a Stagecoach bus and runs every 10 mins. The 18 is Arriva and runs every half an hour. It will take over an hour to get to the Trafford Centre.

I don't think there is a direct bus. Depending on the time of day http://www.transportdirect.info/ suggests taking a train from the airport to Manchester Oxford Road station, then picking up a 250 bus from bus stop B at Oxford Road/Oxford Road station to the Trafford Centre. Personally, I think the easiest method would be to take a train from the airport to Manchester Piccadilly Station (lots more trains than to Oxford Road), then taking the Metrolink tram from Piccadilly to Stretford then transferring to the shuttle bus to the Trafford Centre - bus runs every 15 minutes, takes about 10 minutes (you buy a through ticket from the Metrolink ticket machines for both the tram and the shuttle bus).
