Even if they did, the candidate would have to be honest about every county in every state that they have lived in for the past 10 years. The bill for such a check would be enormous.

So, to answer your question - very very slim to no chances that there is any kind of background check done and even if it was done - it would be virtually meaningless to someone who wants to hide something as they would just give them different prior addresses.

Definitely do not rely on a dating service to check people out.

My sister used a service in her hometown who did not do criminal checks. I've been a part of three online services that do not.

Maybe very expensive ones. But the standard ones you find on the net dont!
