Is he going for gender re-alignment surgery, does he feel like a woman trapped in a mans body? Does he have other sexual organs pertaining to a woman, or does he have scrotum etc? We can't answer your question honestly if you don't give us the information. You say he has a clitoris - which means he has a vagina or is perhaps an hermaphrodite. I seriously think he should consider seeing a surgeon about this condition. I'm surprised he hasn't sought help before now and before you asking on his behalf!

I do not see why there would be a problem doing "things that men do", though I think he should be very wary of showers and any places that he would be seen naked.

Many people would definitely be freaked out, because it is challenging their frame of reference, i.e. comfort zone. Essentially all that means is that they are narrow-minded or naïve, but it can lead to many unpleasant experiences for him regardless of how HE feels about it. Narrow-minded people can be cruel.

More openminded people would also stare, I think, because it will certainly be something out of the ordinary, but their mindsets would allow them to accept him easily.

Many men are shy about their penises anyway, so other men will NOT find it strange if he decides to use the stall instead of the crib for urinating, and if he decides to shower separately.

If he really wants to experience the communal showering thing with other men, then best it be with men who know him well and with whom he has discussed his physical differences.
