Why am I considering leaving the Democratic Party for good?
Am I the only one that feels that this primary race is doing too much damage to the party? Am I the only one that feels that Hillary is willingly ushering her supporters to McCain? Am I the only one that feels that this will/can do unprecedented damage to the Democratic Party and to the confidence of Democrats everywhere in the voting process? Your opinion?

Semper, it may surprise you to learn that I used to be a democrat until my fellow Texan, LBJ, introduced his "Great Society" in the 60s. I had voted for the guy. For me, the democratic party has never been the same because he introduced overt liberalism at the highest level and it has continued to evolve to the point that even God is under attack by that faction of your party. The "Great Society" took initiative away from those who otherwise would have been honest, hard working people. Once in the clasp of welfare, self respect gone, these same people became the core of the immoral drug culture cancer of this nation - and it was all one giant ploy to get the vote of the poor and underprivileged for LBJ once said, "We can't pay people to vote for us, but we can give them things (welfare) and promise to take them away if don't." I have zero respect for the democrat party because it singularly has stripped so many of self respect and turned them over to dependence upon the government. We were not created to depend upon anyone other than our self under the leadership of God. In the unlikely event that you do leave the democrat party and vote only for those candidates who are opposed to the rages against God through the vain philosophies of man, I will personally drive to wherever you are and hug your neck!

I agree. If it isn't done fair I will leave the party probably for good. It doesn't matter if my choice is leading or the other person. It is about the American people's voices being heard. I sent am email to the DNC telling them how I feel. I suggest others do the same. Don't just sit on this board and complain, take action. edited: If McCain wasn't for the war, I would have no trouble voting for him. This war is hurting America far more than anything either of the democrats can do. Also it take a majority congress to pass any laws anyway. The president just has veto power which can be overruled by a 2/3 majority. Hopefully the Senators will read the Bills prior to voting on them.

You are not the only one, m'dear.
While I'm Republican, there have been enough Democrats who have, more recently, left the DemParty saying that THEY did not leave the party, but rather the PARTY left THEM....
Sen Joseph Leiberman
Sen Zell Miller
to name a couple prominent ones. It's not the primary which has caused their dissatisfaction but the leadership and "leanings" of the party. The damage is not being done by this election, it's been coming on for at least the last 2 years. But it STARTED when the Clintonistas took over the party way back "when." The seeds they sowed then are now coming to fruition. Yes, it's going to damage the party, but not fatally so. They will recover.
Have a right-wing day.

Loaded query, my friend. I vacillate (nearly daily) as to my choice.
Yes, I feel Sen. Clinton has done damage for the party. Was Republican, for over 50 years...changed because I was quite unhappy with Washington politics and the numbskull's in power; and the war. (Seen quite enough of those in my lifetime, thank you!)
But I digress...will I...would I vote for Sen. Clinton? I think not.
If given the choice between McCain and Clinton...fear I might vote for the man from Arizona. Don't know, and probably will not know until I get into that voting booth. Hellish decision, that's for certain. As I stated, this is indeed, a loaded query.

I WILL never vote for a Clinton because it makes me angry that AFTER they left the White House they trashed it and stoled so many items
The final, official report from the Government Accounting Office was released on June 11, 2002. The 220 page document says there was damage, although not as much as some of the early reports had suggested. The GAO says the damage included 62 missing computer keyboards, 26 cell phones, two cameras, ten antique doorknobs and several presidential medallions and office signs. The damage estimate was about $20,000. Clinton critics say the report proves that the departing Clinton staff members acted recklessly and disrespectfully. Clinton supporters say the report shows that the allegations of vandalism were exaggerated and that there were similar incidents when Clinton took over the White House from the staff of George Bush.
The GAO report concludes that even though damage was verified and that some of it appeared to have been intentional, there was not clear evidence of who was responsible for it.
This has been a subject of contention since President Bush took office. There were reports of vandalism, graffiti, and obscene messages in White House offices by outgoing Clinton staffers. Bush downplayed the reports saying he wanted to move on with the presidency. Clinton supporters, however, charged that the story was not true and that the Bush forces had made up the story to make Bush's staff look better than Clinton's. Former President Clinton offered to pay for any damage and his supporters called for an investigation.
HOW can you trust some one like this that STEALS from the White House to become President..
AS far as Obama I live in IL and he hasn't done crap for anyone..Hes like Kerry he talks very well and people buy into it,,because it makes him sound smart..

Here is what the Republican Party has accomplished in the last seven and a half years:
Turned a huge surplus into a huge deficit.
Changed world opinion of the U.S. from love and respect to hatred and ridicule.
Pissed away billions of dollars in a war that was made unwinnable by the arrogance, stupidity, and incompetence of the Commander in Chief.
Squandered the lives of 4,000 of the bravest and most loyal of our citizens.
Managed to channel trillions of dollars from the great majority of hard working Americans into the pockets of the wealthiest few.
Damaged the health of this planet, possibly beyond repair.
Failed to provide medical assistance, not only to our poor, our old, and our children, but even to those soldiers who have returned from Iraq damaged physically and mentally in the service of our country.
All this and much worse. And you permit yourself to be distracted by thi sort of chicensh!t! That is just what the oil companies, the banks and the drug companies want. Grow up!

I think if you leave the Democratic Party for any other reason than you don't agree with their anti-Christian agenda, you might as well stay in for the long haul, painful and destructive as it would be. We have to choose whom we believe - the empty, self-centered promises of man/woman, or the Solid Rock promises of Jesus Christ. Seeking godly wisdom is a daily thing in a person's relationship with Christ, and submitting to the leadership of the Holy Spirit is the ONLY way a Christian can make an informed decision, because He is the ONLY One who knows the truth! I'm keeping you in my prayers!!!

I asked the same question and it was violated. I hope yours stays up longer! Yes, I feel it is time for Hillary to step down. Actually, I feel it is way past time. I'm afraid she has lost the Dems. the election. And I thought she was running for the good of the country. Why can't she step aside for the good of the country. But I was for her before I was against her; and it is her fault I've changed my mind.

No your not. If Hillary truly thought that the Democratic party is the best for America then she would drop out. She is tearing up the party and giving the victory to McCain. Very sellfish.

I agree. It's what the Democrats have become. Is this primary race helping their party? Or their country?
Has tearing down the country and the troops for the past 5 years in an effort to oppose the Republican party helped their country? Did they actually do anything other than trash their country? No.
