The F word is thought to have been first seen in a Latin-English mix poem sometime before 1500, making fun of the Carmelite friars of Cambridge, England, and after being translated reads something like "They are not in heaven because they f*ck wives of Ely (a town near Cambridge)."

In answer to the second part of your question, from what I have read (though I can't cite this and I am sorry) it is supposedly sinful according to the Bible to cause a scandal (which could hurt other people), so if you use it in a way to offend others, then it could theoretically be considered a sin. I have often thought about this however (especially back when I myself was theist), and have concluded that if it is used within, for example, your own circle of friends, or a messaging board where you know no one will care, then I don't think your God would care in the least, in theory.

*lol, it seems that they have inconveniently censored my source. For anyone seeking to read a very interesting article about the uses and origins of the so-called "F-bomb", simply type in www.answers.com/(insert f-word here) into your browser, or go to the answers.com website and type the forbidden word into the search bar.

maybe that is what it takes to to get the message of salvation and condemnation across so that you can react and give in to what is the path to God in Heaven. If you feel that Christians are annoying why we only want you to know God not to change the way you are; God loves you just how you are. Can you imagine the type of annoying person you will become when you accept Jesus into your heart and remember how difficult you were(because you hate Christians) towards the well intentions of Christians and take the same message to other God haters?. Man what a testimony you will have to share.

What you are referring to are vulgarities, and I use them all.

Taking the Lord's name in vain is quite different. It means to use God's name carelessly, insincerely, for your own gain, or deceitfully, and has nothing to do with shat, fork, or any of the other words that would be deleted if I wrote them.

If I pretend to be a Believer in order to win an election, sell a car, impress a girl, whatever, I am in trouble.

I am too afraid of what kind of websites I might get if I search the internet for the history of that word, lol.

Profanity comes from the heart. And "from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks".

That's "supposedly" not what that commandment meant.

It's rather, saying his name in vain is like saying to your friend, "You ruined my homework. God will punish you, you brat!" etc, etc, etc.
