Is there a way to put color into concrete when mixing it?

    Yes the others are right. I use to mix concrete for a precast construction company. I mixed all kinds of colors from black, green, red, buff. The trick to it is measuring out the proper amount of tint and proper amount of cement each time or you will have different shades. It will take a lot more tint since you are coloring it all the way through and not just on the surface. We also used a white cement for the light colors and gray cement for dark colors. Sometimes we would mix the colors of cement to achieve the color we desired. Each time the cement was properly weighed out. Have fun.

    You can put it into the concrete as it is being mixed or you can put in on the top just before it is finished.

    It takes a good bit more if you mix it in but the color will still be there is you get chips or dings in the concrete later.
