Need title of historical romance book?
There's a title of a book I read a decade ago, when I can't remember the author or the title itself. It's historical fiction and romance. There's a girl named Virginia who pretends to be Johanna after she died and meet Stone Thrower, part Native American. I read it in 1995. Does anyone know the name or the author of this book? I can't get it out of my mind.
I don't remember anything else about the book. (I'm not getting any email notifications from YA either. Just what I told you in the question. I don't think my missing blanks would be helpful to a librarian either.

Could I also suggest that you try the "ultimate search engine:" Your local librarian!
The Internet can help only so much. It's kind of like looking up diseases and treatments instead of going to the doctor. Yes, you'll get information, but why not seek out a trained professional?
You've probably guessed that I'm a librarian, and I'm starting to think I wasted my time in graduate school because it seems nobody here ever thinks to ask librarians for advice about books.
And I'm off my soapbox now. :-)
BTW, I'm a college librarian, so I don't have access to the kind of reader advisory sources that public librarians have. Academic libraries have different goals and serve a different type of patron.

Ok - I don't remember a book like this. But I had the same problem the other day. One thing that helped me was remembering if I got it from the library. My library has a pretty good subject search. I typed in corporate secruity (there was a character who had that for a job) and sure enough - there was my book. So--- did you get it from the library? If you did and you library isn't very good with stuff like that I can give a link to mine. Also can you remember anything else - like what tribe He was from, that might help in the search too.
