I'm 30, originally from NJ, and now live in Ohio. I write poetry/songs, nonfiction articles, short stories and working on three novels. I'll mostly come here for research for nonfiction, my novels and maybe short stories. I'm currrently unemployed and looking for work in FT office work. Any help would be great. My YM handle is ANGELSCRIBEWRITING.

  • Need title of historical romance book?

There's a title of a book I read a decade ago, when I can't remember the author or the title itself. It's historical fiction and romance. There's a girl named Virginia who pretends to be Johanna after she died and meet Stone Thrower, part Native American. I read it in 1995. Does anyone know the name or the author of this book? I can't get it out of my mind.

  • Car chase pursuit with baby on board?

This is for my first Nano attempt next month and getting some fresh hand research. If you're involved with a car chase (as a cop) and have a baby in the car, what do you do? My FMC has one for my novella I'm going to start next week, next month, and is in pursuit (since she's a cop) of a speeder. P.S. What are the kinds of hit-and-run crimes besides hit and run? (Professional cops and law enforcement officials please.)

  • Why does a cat nip or bite you?

This recently has happened to me with Marshall, (it's been about three months since Marshall and Wylie stay 24/7 with me with limited freedom that's gated, and sleep with me), that when I pet him, he nips or bites me. Nothing serious. Just teeth marks. I'm just curious to why cats nip or bite you. (This summer, Sweet Pea bit my mom at the veins of her hand, and was infected, and had to get antibiotics. We don't know why that happened.)

  • What's the difference between graphic art and graphic design?

I'm curious, since I took a new career test, and that's one of the occupations it mentioned, since I scored highly artistic wise and have good computer skills. Any ideas? I couldn't find a good answer or definition online by doing a Google search.

  • Need synonyms for binoculars?

I need some synonyms for binoculars in my first chapter. I've been told it's an echo (a same word used twice or mean the same in same sentence.) There's no many word choices for it according to rhymezone.com like field glasses. Any ideas?

  • British policeman ranks?

Hi. This is for research for a novel I'm working on, when most of my novel takes place in Great Britiain and the UK. I'm wondering what do you call British officers, inspectors, detectives, etc. Do you call British officers Constables? And do the M.P.S have a police photographer and sketch artists too? Any help would be great.

  • Crying meow?

I don't really know how to explain this. This has been going out for the past couple of weeks with Wylie, when it's either before or after I let him out (with Marshall) in the afternoon, after I hear him scratching the taped aluminum foil on the rug, (since M & W have scratched a part of the rug two months ago). I open the door and he's there like with a crying or whiny meow, mouth wide open. Is he lonely and miss me? Is it for attention? What does it mean? I come see him for five minutes to calm him out and he's fine. Then later I hear him later. Sometimes I spray him with out. How can I stop him from doing it again? Any ideas?

  • Direct TV: Why do people hate it?

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned Passions crossing over to DirecTv's Channel 101 in September, which is now 6 weeks left on NBC and 7 for Direct TV. Many people said they hate it and won't subscribe. Others said they love it and have it. There's now a deal for having four months free for a package if you subscribe between now and then to get Passions. I might or might not get it. Why do you people hate it? And do you have to have a flat screen TV to have it?

  • How many pints of blood does a human have?

This is for a short story I'm revising, when my female character gets attacked by a tiger, and loses blood. How much can you lose to need a blood transfusion, or go into shock and have death? I realize this has been asked before, so that's why I added the second part to this question.

  • Is there any remedies for a head congestion and sore throat?

Since Sunday night, I've had a stuffy head and a bad congestion with a sore throat. I've been drinking plenty of liquids including water, blowing my note a lot, taking decongestant medicine and cough drops, and used Vicks Vapor Rub. I've been to the doctor too and was glad it's not strep. Any tips?

  • One Life to Live: Miles is creepy?

What's your opinion on Miles? I first liked him. But when he set up that robbery at Marty's car and blackmailed Marty, I hate him. P.S. To those who answered my Passions question and said they hate Direct Tv, why do you hate it?

  • Passions: Do you believe the blackmailer is Eve's and Julian's son?

I believe so. He said he has connections in Harmony and his family didn't want him. He's the common connection that Grace saw before she died earlier this year. What do you believe of this he/she freak? P.S. Does any of you have Direct TV or subscribing to Direct TV by September, since Passions has been renewed and on that network.
