Just to better understand the spiritual make-up of this forum, how many of you think?

1) that your beliefs will never change

2) that you will find what you are seeking

3) that your beliefs will constantly evolve as you continue to mature?

1 & 3, as I evolve and learn my beliefs evolve and become more resolute.

2, Only time will tell, at the moment i'm still figuring out what, if anything I should be seeking.

    1) I have no beliefs. I objectively analyze all available evidence in order to determine what is true. What I accept as true will change according to whatever evidence is discovered.

    2) I have found many things I have sought. Others, I have not. I expect the trend to continue. Some things I seek I will find, others I will not.

    3) Well, like question #1, my "beliefs" will constantly evolve, although it will be due to evidence rather than personal maturity.

My beliefs have changed. I started out in a Christian family, raised to believe in the doctrine and rituals of a major church. Then, as a teenager, I decided that was all bunk.

Over the past 17 years, I have once again embraced Christianity, but this time, with a personal relationship to the Lord. And from here on, my beliefs will not change. The personal relationship made all the difference.

It is all of the above.

WE will hold onto the things we know with a faith that doesnt move. And,we know that noone has all the answers yet, that will are forever growing and learnings the ways of the Lord.

And that whatever we seek to know from God, we will recieve, so therefore we will also be learning new things all of the time, espeically as the mysteries of the Bible are being revealed in these last days. IT wont change our faith, it will only increase our faith.

WE must continue to have a teachable spirit, as well as holding on to what we know to be true, unless someone can Biblically show us how we are wrong.

ALL things old and new must be tested and tried by the word of God to know if it is Gods truth of not. The Bible is the only guide we have to truth. That and as the SPirit leads to deeper understanding. But, as the SPirit leads to deepness, it will always line up with Gods word as well.

    Thanks for asking.

    God bless you.

I just want to find that as all three questions unfold that I am much closer to God and all his truths. That I grow and mature and learn how to help those He has entrusted in my care...that I evolve according to His will in all my waysand if that means that I have to change my beliefs(som may need correction) that I need to search deeper, and that I need to evolve more into maturity then so be it as God is the author and finisher of my faith. This forum has taught me so much already and it makes it clear that God uses many people here for His glory.

1- My core beliefs will not change, but hopefully my actions in light of those beliefs will.

2- I have already found what I am seeking.

3- With maturity comes wisdom and a better understanding and application of my beliefs.

  • Well...

I think my CORE beliefs will never change. That is, I don't expect to ever stop believing in the God of the Bible, or in His Son Jesus, or in the necessity of His sacrifice on the cross for my salvation...

But I do believe (and see constantly happening before me) that my beliefs within that framework are constantly changing and evolving and growing and opening up to bigger and better perspectives.

And I totally believe that I will find what I am seeking - or else - I will find something better to seek that will negate the necessity of finding whatever it was I was seeking to begin with. :)

part of my personality and belief structure is that i will evolve my beliefs with whatever evidence or whatever comes my way

i have gained all i believe now through evidence of one type or another, and in general being who i am of course, and being open to learning all there is to know about the subject of beleif etc

im always willing to add, its something i love to do,

i think my fundamental structure of beliefs will remain from now on, although i dont condem myself to only that, if i have to change i will

i found what i was seeking, acceptance, learning and wish to seek knowledge and gain experience and understanding of who i am and humans in general

i still lack a few things, but thats going to happen ,

and thats one of the reasons i am able to evolve, as i gain the new knowledge and experience i was unable to get yet

    good question patrick
