How much did cytomel help boost your energy if taken with Welbutrin XL?

My psychiatrist gave this to me, to help boost the effects of my Welbutrin, which seems to have gone flat on me. I am experiencing more depression and lack of energy on 300 of Welbutrin, and Lexapro. Under stress as well, but was feeling ok 3 months ago when I went to see him and not so well this time. He actually had the audacity to make it sound like I was making my symptoms up...although he has never been very nice to me. I was assigned to him, so it's not like I picked him, but I am trying to get in to see another one in that facility. Just need to know if it helped anyone and how soon the effects started occuring...Thanks!

Update:

I have been checked for low thyroid, and it has not been an issue for me, but I have similar symptoms...He said it has been used as a booster for Welbutrin and other anti depressants...Thank you DNA for your answer!!! I appreciate the insight!

Cytomel should not be used unless you have a thyroid problem or fibromyalgia. Is it possible that you have a thyroid problem after all and that's why you need the antidepressants. Depresson is a big symptom of having an underactive thyroid. If this s the case, Cytomel will help with the depression and fatigue. I added 5 mcg's to Levoxyl a few years back and it made a huge difference i how I feel. I am now on Armour though and feel even better.

I just wanted to add that quite often thyroid tests are done at the wrong time of day or the results are read wrong. Thyroid testing needs to be done first thing in the morning only/ Also, a TSH over 2.0 is not normal. Better tests are free t4 and free t3. Low T3 levels could cause dfepression and mood changes. Free t3 level should be midrange or above.

Nope, I feel it might simply hold you conscious, make you have to pee and provide you a sugar rush and do not they've tons of energy in them- so customarily ultimately might truthfully minimize your metabolism.
