Contact lens help?
I'm trying out contact lenses for the first time. My eye specialist gave me a pair but when i opened the case the left one was dehydrated (obviously the solution leaked out).
So i asked him to send me another left lense. It arrived today but there were two packets with one lense in each. They are identical and bare no indication of which eye they are intended for. I can't tell if they are 2 left lenses, or a left and a right.
My question is: does it matter which eye I put them in?
I mean to say: the packets are identical... i have not opened them yet

If your eyes are both the same strength and you don't have any other eye problems, then there is no reason why you can't put any one in each eye. But if your prescription is different for both eyes you will need to find out which one is which!

If your prescription power is the same in both eyes, you can use them in either one. Mass-produced contacts don't really have a "left" and "right" specified on each individual package. The only time you need to be concerned with using a particular contact in each eye is if your prescription power is different in each eye.
If you do have different prescription power in each eye, the contact packages will show the prescription power on the package. You will need to match that up according to your scrip, for either your right or left eye.
If in doubt, call your eye doctor...phone calls are always free!

if both of your eyes have the same grade, then it doesn't matter which eye you're going to use it on. if not, then you should contact your eye specialist again and ask him how to tell the difference before putting them on.

look on the packets, it may say summin like this -1.50 and there may be a cyl of -1.00 for example... if they say exactly the same thing it doesnt matter which eye it goes in.
If it says somthing different then give your eye specialist aring and see what he says.
