No one likes to be lied to. However, some people do enjoy lying to themselves.

It's true nobody likes being lied to or about and I have

been old enough to vote for more election than I would

own up to. And politicians have a habit of bending the truth to

help them win, they make promises they know they can not keep and they also know enough people will believe what

they are told and will vote for them. The problem I have is the party's faithful will go along with whatever their party stands

for. I research the background on all the candidates and see

how they have voted on issues in the past. I usually vote a split

ticket and I do not claim to be either I am a conservative I

believe in the right to own handguns I back our troops just

not happy with the way they are distributed. This election will

be the hardest one as far as President for me to cast my vote.

I withdrew my support for the Democratic party a couple of years ago. I am now unlabeled. I belong to no party. I am an independent thinker, and after watching both parties for several years now, I can't support either. We fight with our contemporaries, mostly over non-issues, while the wealthy and powerful run off with the goodies and go on killing sprees, with we the people supplying the bodies, the weapons and the funds. The wealthy have too much power serving to corrupt our government. This won't change as long as we are divided.

I don't think most people know the meanings and implications of the terms these days. But it seems to me most people like being told their favorite lies. It reassures them so they don't have to think. So I reckon they get angry to avoid facing the fact that they have duped themselves, when they have to confront the fact that they have been swallowing lies. Most of us don't appreciate having to confront our own folly. It's difficult to see the truth, but most lies are obvious if examined critically - even amidst the mass of misinformation we're fed. There are always contradictions. And, though not all heresy is new wisdom, all new wisdom is initially heresy.

I think that is a true assessment. I think a lot of us are not happy with how things are going in government and in the economy. It's just bad news all around and the people responsible seem to be hiding while the rest try to clean up the mess. It is a horrible mess.

Which is why you can tie McCain, Hillary and Obama in a bag and throw them in the river as far as I'm concerned...none of them has a passing acquaintance with the truth.

Well nobody I think appreciates being lied to.

Hmmm, I believe no one like to be lied to unless you are a complete LOON ... ((slams door on liars))

no Matter what someone stands for, they always want to hear the truth...sometimes they won't listen, but no one wants to be lied to.
