what country did the movie take place in??and what year was in the movie NOT when it was it Released....and if u can name the the city it will be great thanks everyone....

It takes place in Mexico, but I don't remember the name of the town. As far as I can recall, no date was ever mentioned either, though I would say late 19th or early 20th century from the clothes. Sorry to be so vague, but it's been years since I've seen the movie.

The Magnificent Seven is set in Mexico. Robert Vaughn (Lee) is hiding from US legal authorities when the movie begins. He goes to Mexico on this adventure in part because he is tired of hiding.
I don't know the name of the town they fought for or the fictitious year.

Mexico, I dont believe the specific name of the village is ever mentioned nor is the specifc year.
