Simply put, different religion call for different ways to worship God. There beliefs are based on there religion. With that said, the act of not wearing a hat conributes to showing respect toi God. People that wear turbins belive that God gave them hair and so should not be cut. They believe that by cutting hair a disrespectuful to God because God gave you it and it's supposdly unnatural to cut it. It's just part of there beliefs.
Like how Christians belive that by confessing your sins to a priest symbolizes God forgiving you and cleasing you of your sins. Its just another belief.
