i cant download any file or photo attached to yahoo mail id.the download attachment tab is not working at all.

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Same problem here, and also started on the same date, 10/18/2011. I have tried 3 different computers, 3 different browsers and nothing works. I have switched back to Yahoo Classic, but it still does not work. The only difference being that when I try to attach a file I get a web page that just says "Server Hangup". In the "new" Yahoo Mail you get no indication of error. It just does nothing. I have another, less used, Yahoo account and everything works fine there. I'm guessing that this problem is isolated to a group of user accounts, probably all housed on the same server or set of servers. Just a guess. Getting help from Yahoo via the web is impossible. We need to find a way to notify them of this issue. ADDITIONAL INFO: As of this morning, 10/20/2011 attachments seem to be working again. I can upload and download e-mail attachments so Yahoo must have found the issue. If you are still having problems I would say be patient as it seems that they are working on it.

Dowloading attachments

To download them click on the name of attachment at the mail tob bar

Eg image001 and click on it

Downloading huge files

If u get pictures via attachments u have to download them

Pictures send to u are always blocked by yahoo service

To view them open any mail having attachments-open the mail and click on view blocked images at the top of the page

If the pictures are directly present or added in the space provided for writing mails right click on it and click save target as or save background as

I have had the same problem for the last 3 weeks. I was at first told the problem was with my PC, then my antivirus and final again my settings. After spending nearly 14 hours trying to resolves this issue, Yahoo finally admitted to me the problem is with them, in writing. Yesterday after nearly 2 hours on their chat room with customer services, they finally ran some diagnostics on my account and ran a fix. The problem is now resolved.

I'm having a problem downloding attachments also. I'm getting a message that says "virus scanning temporarily unavailable." This is really aggravating !

I'm experiencing just the same problem. Someone pls help me.
