What colour should I paint my Sitting Room?
Hubby has a huge, terra-blinkin'-cotta chair he loves, my sofa is cream and we have a wooden floor, 2 dogs and an open fireplace. Any ideas, you clever people in Y!A??
I should have mentioned that I don't like brown. Any brown, Brown is really, really boring and I live in the middle of nowhere where all is brown mud most of the year!!!

I am thinking you have wood trim too. Otherwise I have you paint it brown/black even though you don't like brown. This is because I'd suggest to you to use a dusty moss green. It will compliment your cotta chair and your cream sofa. Believe it or not I'll also suggest you look for accessories or art work that has the chair color in it. Not a lot but again to compliment the chair. Green if done with the orange is kind of like Christmas colors. Look for your cotta color when you're at the paint store and pick a green in the same tone as the cotta. Rather than fighting the chair make the rest look so good, you won't even notice the chair. I invite you to visit http://dreamflipper.com/ for other ideas. Good luck!

A light yellow will make any room seem bigger and brighten up the room and make it seem inviting. In the summer open the windows or blinds and let the sun shine in and it will be beautiful!
