I have seen people refer to their US language as American, which doesn't seem right when it is clearly English-as-Spoken-by-Americans. I'm English, I live in England and speak English. What is the american view on this, please?

It's about 10' tall and three years old - but has never so much as produced a flower bud, let alone any berries! What can I do to help it along? It's in very rich soil and is watered regularly - although not waterlogged. It shares the bed with a 'Peony Bowl of Beauty' which is doing very well and a sedum, also growing well.

Her company is treating her very unfairly and she is extremely upset. She has put everything into her job and they are now (falsely) accusing her of dishonesty. I feel for her and want to help, any suggestions apart from simply "being there"?

Does he have the right to have a receipt from the Oil Company? I don't think we can both claim home-business expenses on this same invoice nor do I think he has a business relationship with the company. I live in the UK and would appreciate some help here. Since if there is a supreme being it was His hand that directed evolution, and if there is none, evolution happened anyway, where is the conflict of theory? Can't both things be true? I speak, by the way, as an atheist, which is neither here nor there.

As, in the same voice, people of various persuasions ask a gay friend of my why he "chose" to be gay. I would like to think it is possible, but I'm sure you are just born a person with a need to believe in a "higher being" or, like me, high enough to be the same as everyone else!

For the record, I did TRY to believe in God for many years, but eventually the complete lack of any evidence whatsoever in favour and overwelming evidence to the contrary triumphed!
