My New MacBook is tricksy . . .

I am having to move the cursor one character at a time, ie. I can't go quickly to the beginning of a line or paragraph - or especially the top or bottom of a page. Anyone out there know how I can do this?

In my whole life this is the first time I have been referred to as "people like you". Born knowing all this stufff were you? Never had to learn? That's rubbish and you don't know what kind of person I am, thank you very much. At least I don't judge people on a Yahoo! question. Smug bggr.

Update 2:

Oh, and I had almost ten years as a mainframe programmer and systems analyst in the financial sector. My BSc CAD Engineer Son recommended this MacBook. I am quite well aware of technology, thanks. Why am I so miffed about the opinion of a closed-minded bigot? Hmm.

    system preferences-->keyboard and mouse-->tracking
