Have you had any experiences with hemangiomas?
I want to know other parents' experiences with hemangiomas. My daughter is 2 and had hers since about 4 weeks old (on the side of her tummy). I'm not concerned about it too much but recently (this past weekend) she's started to complain that it bothers her. I think she may just be playing us for sympathy but she goes to the doctor Friday at which time I plan to ask if it's possible it's hurting her (so please don't respond to this by saying "Ask the doctor"... I already plan to). I just want to know if anyone else has had experience with them.

my neice had one that grew pretty large... now that she is almost 5 it has gotten a lot smaller. a lot of times my neice was complaining was a result of her playing with it at that age. She is probably just acting curious about it and messing with it or she could have hit her side on a table or other object and hit it.

my little girl developed a hemangioma a week after birth on her shoulder. it was really red and raised and worried me quite a bit. the doctor just told us it would eventually just go away--closer to her teens. and now at 5 it has really spread out and gotten really light. i dont remember her ever complaining about pain though,
good luck!

My niece had one behind her ear. It faded away by the time she was 5. She is 6 now. Hers was almost an inch long. She fell off the back of her Dads truck and hit it and make it bleed her Mom freaked out. Maybe you daughters will fade soon.

I have hemangioma on my liver. It has never caused me a moment's trouble...other than some testing to reach that conclusion.
