Red Wood tree?
WE bought a house about a year ago and there is a 6 year old red rood about 4 feet from the corner of the house. I feel that it shouldn't have been planted there. It is already 25' tall. Should I cut it down?? I'm afraid it will disrupt the foundation of the house and eventually the house itself.
A friend of mine says it is too large to be moved

Before you cut it down - can it be moved? Could a truck with a tree spade on the back get to it to take it out?
Whether it would survive the move is another question. You'll need an arborist or the tree crew to answer that question.
edit:
Then I would get a qualified inspector, construction engineer, etc. to look at it and decide if it's causing a problem now, or will be soon. Once you see the foundation cracking or the basement wall bowing in, it's too late to cut it down and prevent the damage.
My guess is that you'll want to take the tree down. Even if it's not damaging the foundation, at some point the wind will bring down branches onto the house. A big one could punch through into living space. If it sheds needles or leaves, they'll fill the gutters.
