Update:

Close Water, but a mnemonic is a "word" phrase to remember something. Such as, "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" is used in Mathmatics to help students remember the proper execution techniques.

The Singlemode and Multi-mode are both listed on question #5 are descriptions of a 10GBase network application.

Your correct answers are 2,3, & 4.

Update 2:

Forgot to mention the correct Mnemonic is, "Please Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza Away."

Listed in all Network+ guides and Cabling Books. Good job though!

This looks like homework but I 'll answer but you need to learn the answers if you are going to pass the course or networking test.

#1) State the OSI MODEL Mnemonic Layers 1-7 as defined in Network+

    1.Physical 2. Data Link 3. Network 4. Transport 5. Session 6. Presentation 7. Application

#2) What is the difference between Standards 802.3 and 802.11?

802.11b wireless LAN (WLAN) standard is similar to that for IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet) LAN. Good article on WIkepedia

#3) Define Plenum in your own words? Plenum cable is coated with fire resistant coating. A Plenum space is the air space in a floor or ceiling.

#4) What is the average size Router, Firewall, Switch, Patch Panel mounting rack width? 19 inches. Just got up and measured.

#5) State the Network-Type Fiber Application listed for these specifications:

    SINGLE MODE-Wavelength/Size

    SINGLE MODE-Wavelength/Size

    1550nm - 8/125-Micron

    MULTI-MODE-Wavelength/Size

    850nm 62.5/125 or 50/125-Micron

    1300nm 62.5/125 or 50/125-Micron

Multimode fiber is best designed for short transmission distances, and is suited for use in LAN systems and video surveillance. Single-mode fiber is best designed for longer transmission distances, making it suitable for long-distance telephony and multichannel television broadcast systems.
