  • HR Question: Local Candidates Only?

When a company specifies "Local Candidates Only"

    What exactly is implied?

I've seen on applications where Local U.S. Citizen is a checkmark, so does this mean that Local Candidates only refers to Citizens that do not require sponsorship for VISA or does that imply living within the local geography of that business?

I'm not a Human Resource trained or HR educated individual, I'm just the "Computer guy" so I'm just curious on the technical disclosure of how human resource teams across the country evaluate the definition of Local Candidates only.

  • Need a Visual Basic Script editor Nar.vbs?

I've got a program that bestowed itself upon my PC via a friends flash drive. I do not keep my anti-virus all the time running but this seems to be a fairly harmless file. Google Search Nar.vbs and it's anarchy... lol

Anyway, a "TXT" only document version of the source code is on my site. Not very Programmer Savvy but I could use some tips, I want to reverse engineer this piece of crap to get rid of all the traces of it. Thanks!

    http://www.itjournal-stevekline.com/nar.txt

Good Luck! Respond back with Source code modified to remove! Thanks much!

Oh... and No stupid "Answers" stating, try this and try that... I don't know the code that great and I am not practicing YOUR theory!

  • Infant Health Professional question?

Currrently my fiance and I are running circles with Doctors and a couple Hospitals on what to do about our 3 month old son.

-From Lab work, he has a 5.5 Potassium level.

-He has an average temperature lately of 101-102 Deg. F.

-He has a flat spot on the back of his head from supposedly picking a "Favored" position to lay his head. We've been administering more tummy-time, Holding him a majority of the day, and turning his head gently to the other side. This has been working and improved majorly.

-Along with this Fever... he has also experienced some sort of Twitch. It's a very short... and maybe happens 3-5 times a day in periods. Like in the morning his eye will twitch a little. Sometimes his head will twitch a little to the side. Not a drastic twitch but noticeable.

I'm scared for my son from some of the articles I've been reading on High Potassium in Infants. Kidney failure? My fiance and I previously had 2 miscarried pregnancies. This one is a survivor of two......

  • Proxy Requests Repetitive?

Does anyone else feel that the repititive requests for proxies should be a BAN from Yahoo! Answers.

    Why not??

    1) It does violate the Community guidelines to ask the same question repetitively!

Primarily) Approximately 95% of these users are request proxies to violate the Terms Of Use on the machines they are using these Proxies on. (Myspace, youtube, facebook, etc) "Accessing Web Materials that are not School or Work oriented thus violating Terms Of Use"

    Topic Violations; "Social/Dating" - "Streaming Video/Audio" which

    A) Multiple streaming users can seize the bandwidth usage on T1 or multiple T1 lines. Thus restricting server communication and other internet communications by flooding the Download trunks of these highly priced/payed for lines by IT professionals managing these lines and restricting access to these topics.

    B) Materials prohibited in most work places and schools due to the fact that Social/Dating are not allowed for teenagers for protection. The rest is obvious.
