Rafael Nadal vs Tomas Berdych?

Many of you may foolishly think Rafa wins easily, that is unlikely to be the case. Berdych has beaten him all 3 times on hard courts for a reason. How do you think this match will go and the best analysis gets the points?

Analyze

Rafa's serve

Berdych's serve

Rafa's return

Berdych's return

Rafa's ground strokes on hard courts

Berdych's ground strokes on hard courts

Mental toughness

who dictates play?

Update:

Berdych doesnt play Tipsy, you are thinking of Davydenko.

Update 2:

The two have evenly split their previous six career meetings; Nadal won their last two clashes, in 2007 in the Monte Carlo semifinals and Wimbledon quarterfinals, but Berdych has won all three of their matches on hard court at ATP Masters Series events.

Update 3:

i already rooted for you yesterday to the posts I saw.

Nadal will come from a set down to win.

It is all well and good to analyse the match up, but it all depends on how they play on the day. Nadal is a worthy #2 in the world, Berdych is not. Sooner or later you expect Nadal to start beating this guy. That time is now.

Berdych may have had the edge in the past against Nadal on hard courts, but so did Blake up until 2 weeks ago. Nadal has something to prove against Berdych, just as he did with Blake, and I think his confidence is up right now. That said, Berdych can still win if he is on, because his style of play matches up so well against Nadal's topspin on this surface. But if Nadal's serve holds up and he can keep the ball deep in the rallies, then he should be able to beat Berdych. I say Nadal in 3 sets.

Rafa's serve has improved alot, even his second serve percentage was great against Blake, about 92% in the second set. So, if he keeps hitting such good serves in the right places, Berdych's chances to break his serve are slim.

Berdych is tall, and he has good serves and aces, but he didn't hit alot of aces as he usually does against Andreev, so I'm not sure, coz he depends on his serve alot.

Rafa's return is always amazing, especially if Berdych isn't serving his best.

Berdych has good returns too, but it depends on Rafa's serves places, he's good in choosing the right angle.

Rafa's ground strokes on hard courts aren't like on clay courts for sure, but they are still good, he's a base line player, who plays cross court shots alot, and they work for him.

Berdych's ground strokes on hard courts are amazing when he plays his best, he's a base line player too.

Mental toughness: no doubt Rafa is the king of mental toughness, lol, he doesn't give up and keeps playing at the same level till the last shot.

I have a feeling that Rafa will win this, he may lose a set, but that's not a problem for him, it will motivate him more.

Anyway, I want Berdych to win.

    * I picked Rafa on RZ pick'em

I'd say Rafa will win but not easily since Tomas has won 3 matches against him on hard courts...much will depend on who dictates play and from my impression of these two, it should be Nadal who will come out on top...

Don't forget that Berdych still has to play Janko Tipsarevic tomorrow at 3:00 PM. Hopefully it will be a Rafa vs. Tipsarevic Semi.

He can do it but it wont be easy. He'll probably come from a set down like he did against Blake...or who knows! he just might do it in two. Yeah I guess I'm foolish.

**EDIT** LMAO HE DID IT! I KNEW HE COULD!! AND IN STRAIGHT SETS!! ;-) Never count Rafa OUT!
