Tell me what you think of this story?

Question

A United States soldier was attending some college classes between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. This particular professor took great pleasure in ranting to his students about the non-existence of God more than covering the subject matter of his class.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.” The lecture room fell silent….so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God. I’m still waiting.” It got down to the lat couple of minutes when the soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-****** him knocking him off the platform.

The professor was out cold. The soldier went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked, “What is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”

The soldier calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like a nut. So, He sent me.”

That was one pretty bad @$$ story but the soldier was absolutely right for doing what he did. 

It's bad enough the teacher was wasting the class session, but making a mockery of a belief in which he might've been the only one to hold was a dumb move.

Especially to one as devoted and loyal as a US Soldier.

thats what most of real life  teacher's are like.

They think they are open mined but they are actually very narrow minded.

I have heard this before, and I like it.  From what I have read in the papers, seen on the news about some of the professor's rants, (like the prof in Colorado) more need to get knocked off their platform until they stick to teaching the curriculum and not their opinions.

haha gotta love it...its true when they say there are no athiests in foxholes i guarentee when you are in the sh*t you are going to believe in something if not God or Buddah or Allah then a f*cking tree or something lol

I believe that story, Religion and Military go together, from the very begginings of the Human History, Kings had the help of Military and Priests to oppress people.
Now they have more, Police, Military, Church, laws,Education , etc...

I love it!!!  God sent a solider to do it for him.  They say God acts in mysterious ways, I guess this is proof of that.  I think this solider should receive a metal.
