This is a virus/Trojan that has been going around lately. I’m not sure where it came from exactly, as I’ve heard many different Ideas. However, when you have this, it causes two things to happen to yahoo messenger. First, after you click login the messenger just disappears, or you get an error – “The exception breakpoint - A breakpoint has been reached.”
I would suggest doing a complete virus scan and a complete spyware scan with Ad-Aware and at least one other spyware scanner that have up to date definitions. I can't stress that part enough. If your definitions are not up to date, you will not get the protection you need, nor will you get accurate results
Also, make sure you do TWO different scans with TWO different programs. These scanners are all different and have different definitions in them. Just scanning with Nortons or NOD, does not mean your system is clean.
You can do a system scan here, without downloading anything.

You can also go to AVG, Kaspersky and other anti-virus sites that will do a system scan for you.
The one virus that keeps popping up with people has to do with AMVO
Check and see if you see this file either in your task manager or by doing a search for amvo.exe
[amva] C:\WINDOWS\system32\amvo.exe
amv0.dll
Or click on control alt and delete to bring up your task bar and look at processes, and see if you see this running.

Try installing a different version of the yahoo messenger or get something like trillion to let you sign in to yahoo messenger. There is also the yahoo web messenger webmessenger.yahoo.com you could get the newest version of MSN and it will let you add their yahoo name also.
