    He'll get knocked out early in any of the clay court events. There are other specialist out there like Monaco and Almagro that will get him. So no success on clay this year for Djokerbitch.

    This is a good question because Novak is a top player and will certainly do his best to win at least one on his least favorite surface...in this case, Nole just might win a clay court tournament where:

    1. Nadal is not entered;

    2. where there would be less clay courters in the field;

    Even with his top caliber of play, Nole would still find it hard to beat the european clay courters in the likes of Almagro, Moya,etc....since he has no successful tries in the previous clay court season but he should also be credited for reaching at least the semis or quarters of the French Open last year if im not mistaken....

    OK I love how everyone is saying he can't play on clay and one of the others will take him out.

    The only person that could stop him last year was Nadal and did we all conveniently forget that he got stopped in the semis, not the early rounds??

    Give the guy the credit he is due people.

    He is an all surface player he proved that by getting to the semis of Wimbledon and the french by making to the final of the USO and by winning the AO.

    You guys are talking about him like he is ranked 116. He didn't get to number 3 for nothing you know.

    I think he could make it to the final of the FO this year.

    May be not this year but he made it to last years French Open semi's so he should be a contender on clay courts hopefully by next year.

    Nina, Fed got to the finals of the French Open at age 24 and 25. What's Nole's current age? 20, so stop jumping to stupid conclusions. Fed at age 20 was horrible on clay as far as I can recall.

    Besides, Nadal took out Nole last year. If Fed had to face Nadal in the semi's (which can't happen as long as they are 1 and 2) then he too wouldn't have made it to the finals the last 2 years.

    novak could get his 1st victory over rafa on clay this 12 months yet he won't beat rafa at RG. or maybe beating rafa in any respect on clay will nevertheless be difficult for him to do as a results of fact in the event that they have been to fulfill it may be interior the finals of a adventure - purely federer has ever crushed rafa in a clay very final. plus djokovic has crushed rafa two times in a row in masters finals and that i cant see him winning third right away very final over rafa. :):):)

    Something makes me think that he will win in Rome and that he has a decent chance in FO. I think he will go far in Monte Carlo but lose to Nadal, perhaps in the final. Then in Rome I could imagine him breaking through on clay. Then he would tank Hamburg, and go far in FO.

    I hope this is a joke. Djokovic's strenghth is on fast surfaces, not the slow ones. His game will not be the same on a surface where players will have more time to set up for their shots. He'll play good, but he won't win any more titles until after Wimbledon, when the hardcourt season starts again.

    Other than that he can forget about winning the French or Wimbledon...............It's NOT gonna happen!!!

    i wouldn't discount novak. the guy got to the semis of RG last year for chrissakes! and he does actually know how to play on the stuff considering he trains in europe. whether he will win anything i dunno. depends on the draws and if roger or nadal actually have good results. personally,i think he would be a contender for any one he enters.

    Djoko might be good, and everyone is thinking he can take over Roger's spot, but the fact remains, Roger is excellent on clay and got to the finals more than anyone else (other than Raffa, of course).

    So... Djoko is no Federer when it comes to being able to handle every surface. Another reason Roger is uniquely amazing.

    is this a trick question?

    **He MIGHT have good results in one that Rafa isn't playing...like Estroil..but he isn't play that one right? Like Murphy said, one of the others will most likely take him out, Moya, Almagro, Monaco, Davydenko and Gasquet are all good clay courters.

    **I'm surprised I wasn't booed yet.

    **lolo m, ehh you mean Hamburg maybe
