If someone has your question deleted and you appeal and "win", does the person who deleted lose points?

I ask because I had a COMPLETLY innocuous question deleted and I appealed. If I "lose" the appeal, it says I will have 10 points deducted. I think if I "win", the person who FALSELY deleted my question should have points deducted.

Update:

so, no loss of points, just lost of "trust"?

hmph.

Those guidelines are kinda rough, but I still think my question was fine. Perhaps it could have been a chat. Still, people DO come on Y!A to have a little fun...

Not generally, but they lose their trustworthiness as a reporter with Yahoo! There are some people who report questions without reading the entire question, and they shouldn't be doing that.

I've had many questions reported for no good reason...it hurts...sometimes the system works and our questions and points are restored...but more often they are not. Just be really careful...some people report questions just because they don't agree with them (that is wrong).

It's in our own interests to be familiar with the Community Guidelines...so we have less chance of being reported. I hope you win your appeal!

Yahoo! calls it "trust". Read the link below.

    Appeal it:
