What is the theme of the Disney Musical Aida? :/?
I have this dumb play evaluation due tomorrow and I really don't have a clue. I want to put, "True love conquers all" but... they died. So I'm at a loss. :/

To the so called theater "expert" who posted above me...of course everything has a theme, even in theater. Yes, the point is to be entertaining but that would be quite a hard goal to achieve if the show had no plot, no point, and no way to connect with the audience. Things performed on stage should connect with the audience not just as a source or entertainment, but as something relevant that they are able to relate to their everyday lives. That is where the theme comes in.
The theme of Aida (at least for me) is to follow your heart. What you wrote was also right on the money. Yes, they did end up dying, but true love really does conquer all. Think of what their love did. Even though they ended up dying, the memory of their true love changed the lives they left behind.

Theme eh? Gasp! I don't much believe in doing anything much about themes as that is not what is important in theatre, entertainment is...( unless you are the Soviet Union). Make something up about love is stronger than death.
