I just read about it. "He" is not a man. "He" is a woman. He was born female and had breast reduction surgery a few years ago as well as hormone therapy. I don't understand how Oregon can recognize "him" as a man seeing as how "he" doesn't even have a penis. In "his" oprah interview, "he" said that "he" opted not to have "his" reproductive organs worked on because "he" wanted to have children. So basically, it's a woman who has completely altered her body and is a lesbian but says she's really a man so she feels better about herself. It's sick. That poor child..... is going to be so screwed up!

It's kind of like Michael Jackson being a poor black kid and growing up to be a rich white guy. Only in America!

Oh, by the way, it's not the sex organs or the changing of sex organs that determines gender. It's DNA. Everyone learns in 7th grade that the 23rd pair of chromosomes are XX for females and XY for males. No amount of plastic surgery or drugs is going to change genetic fact.

If he was born a woman then what's the big deal? It's different but different is good right?

For the chick who brought up the bible saying the end will come when we can't tell man from woman, there have been centuries of cross-dressers and transgender, there are even entire tribes that are considered androgynous by nature, there is nothing unnatural here except that people are even shocked by anything of this nature nowadays.

I say awesome that someone else got to experience the gift of life. At least he didn't get pregnant by accident and at least he's going to keep it, geez, anti-choice all around aren't we?

No he doesn't deserve any coverage. "He" has fully functioning female reproductive organs so it is nothing special. He is a man on paper but not physically, so there is nothing special about this. Just because he takes hormones and got his boobs removed, big woop he still has a vagina.

Why thumbs down to M Kerr? It is the truth in the story, why the thumbs down? She is giving you facts, not opinions.

As a woman who has had a child I feel a little offended by this person. He chose to no longer be a woman, so why does he (she...whatever) get to experience the miracle that is giving life to another human being? As a woman, I'm proud to do something that I know a man can't do. If your not woman enough to be a woman...well then don't take a job a woman is supposed to do! If God intended for men to have babies, they would.

They went to the media because they wanted to tell their story before someone else told it for them. I think they wanted the attention and knew it would cause a stir all along.

Source(s): Mommy to 5 month old Evan...and I'm a woman that looks like a woman!

I don't see what he big deal is. I mean, he was born a female with female reproductive organs -- so uhh it's not that shocking that "he" is pregnant ... I guess he is getting all this media coverage because no one has ever heard of a transgender getting pregnant after they've changed from a "female" to "male"....

The only thing I think about it is that they should leave "him" alone and not stress him out any more than he needs to be. Not good at all for that baby or him after all. I just hope "he" has a safe, healthy pregnancy. It is the same thing I would wish for any other pregnant person.

Well he was born a woman so it's not like a biological man going out and getting pregnant...now that would be something! I think if they genuinely want to have a child, care for it, love it etc. then they have the right to do so. If my hubby could have our babies I'd be all for it! lol

he definitely doesnt deserve all of the media attention...they should be reporting on things that actually matter

big deal, she/he had a sex change...its the same thing as a woman who looks like a man that is pregnant...so whats the big deal?

i mean its all very odd; kind of interesting...but i think one news story would have sufficed

Legally he's a man, but he didn't complete the sex change and retained the female organs. I think it's a plan that they hatched a long time ago to make a lot of money! Just my opinion.

Not really impressive considering that he had a sex change so it makes sense that he is able to get pregnant with his reproductive organs.
