At the age of 53, I just got braces. That is for the second time. The first time around I was 10 and knew there were rules, only broke them a couple of times! But now, things seem so much different. Yes, they have made advances in the aspect I don't have bands on all my teeth and they can add color to them. However, while I know it will be worth it in the long run, I find myself depressed over having them. I didn't realize what a strain it is on my and my family as far as what I can and can't eat. I think there is a definite psychological aspect to having braces as an adult. I got them because my bite is way off and I'm doing a lot of damage to my back teeth.

I was wondering if anyone had the same kind of depression that I have? I've had my braces less than 2 weeks?

My husband and I would like to get an elliptical machine or a treadmill, but can't decide on which one. We went to the store and tried both. He has issues with one of his knees and I have arthritis in both. Three years ago, I had back surgery. I had fusion done from L4 to S1 with screws and rods. We need to find something that is easy on the knees and something that won't bother my back. I do walk at least two miles a day, but not all at one time. Any help you can give, would be greatly appreciated.

My son raises and lowers our flag everyday. He insisted that today it had to be flown at half mast. I knew of no reason why. When we went to the post office, their flag was at half mast. I am considering a pair of Skechers Shape Up Shoes. I was wondering if anyone has these shoes and how you like them. I did try them on at the store and found them very comfortable and have read good things about them. I understand what they are suppose to do, but do they really help? Last year in July, on vacation, I was sitting in our truck and reached my left arm overhead and had a pretty severe pain in my left shoulder. It went away and I didn't think anything of it. Then in November, I was at the doctors for my yearly exam and had the same thing happen. They did a x-ray and it didn't show anything. For the past couple of months, I have had limited range of motion with my left shoulder. When out to the side, I can't lift it anymore than extending it straight out. To the front is slightly better. When I reach across my body, the pain is fairly severe as it is when I do certain other activities. I have an appointment with a specialist coming up, but it's still a few weeks away. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on it. Your time and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have had fish tanks off and on for many years. My husband redid my tank about four or five months ago. We purchased some new mollies to go with the other fish we had left. I got two females and one had fries. Shortly after, she died. The other one had a few fry, but not a lot. The first ones babies are about 1/2 inch and I know there are a couple of males in there. At what age do the males mature? I noticed about 5 very small fry in the tank last night. I vaguely remember hearing quite a few years ago that the female can store sperm and then use them when they want to have more. Is that crazy or could it be true. Thanks in advance for your help!! My doctor prescribed Premarin Vaginal Cream for my symptoms. He told me that it is not absorbed by the blood stream, so I decided to give it a try. After a few days, I had itching, burning and got a stuffy nose and started to wheeze. When I stopped the cream the symptoms were not as bad. I did some research and found that it is made from pregnant mare urine. I am allergic to horses. I called my doctor and he felt because it is not absorbed through the blood stream that there was no correlation between the use of it and the symptoms that I was having. He recommended that I continue to use the cream. I am very reluctant to do so. I know that I don't have to absorb cat hair through my blood to have an allergic reaction to cats. I had open carpal tunnel surgery and ulnar nerve surgery on my right arm on October 8th. Things are going okay, but my index and middle finger on my right hand are really swollen and sometimes it hurts to straighten them out. The ring and pinky finger are not as bad. The whole hand is swollen and I can not make a tight fist. Is this normal after this kind of surgery? Thanks for your time and help.

I had this surgery along with ulnar nerve decompression in my right arm and wrist on Oct. 8th. I am bandaged from above the elbow to my fingers. There is a splint at my wrist. I have been keeping my hand elevated to minimize swelling, but my fingers are really swollen. They are not discolored much and I can still move them. Is this normal or should I be concerned? A friend of mine just got a 7 1/2 month old puppy that is in heat. The people that she got her from said that they were pretty sure she was not pregnant. They had her separate from the other dogs. However, when she took her to the vet today they said that they thought the pup was pregnant and that if she was she would probably have to have a c -section. Anyway, they put a real fear into her about the whole thing. The problem is that if she is pregnant, it is by her father or brother. What are the repercussions of this type of breeding? Also, what are the symptoms of a dog being pregnant? Your help is greatly appreciate.

With all the talk about the new "First Family's" puppy that they intend to get, why does everyone keep saying that they need to get something that is at least part poodle? I am allergic to dogs, most dogs don't bother me a lot, but then our labs are outside dogs. One of them does bother me if I don't wash my hands right away after petting him. On the other hand, I am more allergic to Poodles than I am any other dog. They bother me even if the dog is half Poodle. Sorry to all you Poodle lovers out there, but they are not always hypoallergenic.

Does anyone have a recipe for peach cobbler or crisp? I use to have one that called for fresh peaches. The batter was put in the pan, then the peaches on top. When it was done baking, the batter would rise to the top and would be really crispy. It tasted so good, but can't find the recipe. So, if you have one like that can you send it to me? Hope everyone is doing great. I can't find a bra to fit me. I'm small busted, maybe an "A" cup, if that. And, yes, they are different sizes. The problem that I have is that when I do wear a bra, I am constantly pulling down on it because it "rides up" on me. I usually just go without, but sometimes that's not appropriate, but neither is trying to pull down on a bra constantly. Can anyone recommend a bra maker or maybe a place to have a custom bra made?
