Atheists: Did any of you guys major in Religious Studies?

Yes....loved it....double major in religion and philosophy with a MDiv following....very informative and thought provoking. My religion professors often hated my paper and sermon topics...but they were accurate, and I always got an A.

I'm double majoring in History and Religious Studies (I'm an atheist). For me, studying religion is almost like anthropology than anything. And it's crazy interesting.

Well as a religious studies minor I often note when people contradict their own religion so I make a note of it. It's academic...I can argue with you about the bible from the bible itself. If you claim one thing, and I point to another place in the bible where it says differently, that doesn't mean I believe in the bible, but it doesn't mean I can't talk about it. Though that example you gave doesn't make any sense, I don't think an atheist would say the catholic church is the whore of babylon or the pope is the antichrist unless they were being satirical as it doesn't make sense to reference beings you don't believe in.

Yes, my MA was in Religious Studies, with a minor in philosophy.

I don't plan on it. I'm probably going to major in one of the sciences and minor in math.

Nope, I'm going to nursing school.

If I were to study religion in any form, I'd go with the extinct ancient religions.
