Just finished it yesterday. It's a website for my Xbox 360 (Battlestations: Midway) clan.

Here it is:

www.ImperialStorm.co.nr

Whatcha think?

All opinions welcome and encouraged! :-)

Looks good. But it appears the plane is blocking some words. Was that intentional?

Design isn't horrible. Functionality....well, it kinda is. First, for your nav controls...I am using IE which does not enable those controls until you click in the area. For some reason, the page shifts when I do that.

The forum "go back" link fails. It simply keeps pushing me back to the forum. For that matter, all navigation is kinda clunky.

Get rid of the music. It is seriously a great way to irritate your visitors. Think about when people surf: They are at home, they are at work, they are in front of the TV, they are in a crowded coffee shop...

Only one of those MIGHT allow for music to unexpectedly play....and that is at home...when I am at home in front of my computer, I am listening to music. Trust me: Professional Designers everywhere spend a lot of time explaining the reasons that auto-music can completely ruin a visitor's experience.

Oh and another tip...using CSS IE hacks will eventually lead to problems. There is always a better way....I dunno if you put the code together yourself, if you didn't don't worry about it until you see a problem....but, if you did, you should look up some alternatives.

I would ditch the Flash Nav, for usability purposes. Yes, it's pretty...but if someone wanders into your site with flash disabled, it'll be a mess. You have some leeway with that kind of thing, being a Gaming Site (your visitors will likely have better set-ups than say, a crochet website might get). Still, proprietary elements like flash can cause issues (the page shift thing...).

All in all, the design looks very appealling. I wouldn't change anything on that point...just fix the stuff that doesn't work.

you in all probability will want somebody to replace the information superhighway website for you. Or, you've the folk you employed do each and all the paintings and then have them coach you the thank you to replace it. reckoning on the thank you to wish to replace it, you're able to desire to have the guy you employed to it for you. you spot, information superhighway layout is amazingly very extensive. some information superhighway designers go nonetheless a LOTTTT of coding which may well be the toughest and longest way of starting to be a internet site, or they could use a software like dreamweaver to make it. they are very complicated courses to apply yet once you comprehend the thank you to apply them, USE THEM. yet once you do not, back; have them do it for you.

Maybe you should bold the links you want people to follow?

    I think it's pretty good for a .co.nr domain.

Hopefully it won't become overloaded though. =P
