Help with pregnancy calendar?
Okay--all the calendars on the internet say I am 9 weeks, the nurse a week ago said something about 10 weeks and then the doctor a couple of days ago said 7 weeks. So last period was Feb 1st--the due date is Nov 7th (everyone agrees here), but how far along am I? I wonder for tracking my baby's development. Thanks!

The first day of your last period is what they usually use when calculating due dates (40 weeks from that); however, most doctors seem to agree that actual conception would have taken place approximately two weeks after that date. That might be why there's a discrepancy. My doctor says the best bet is to use the first day of the last period (Feb. 1), then add one week (Feb. 8) and subtract three months (Nov. 8). I think they're saying Nov. 7 because this is a leap year and there's that extra day to consider. If your period started on a Friday, the due date would be a Friday. But remember, it's all just a guide.

You start counting the weeks from the first day of your last period. The easiest way to figure that out is to use a due date calculator on the internet. Your doctor maybe going by an ultrasound, if you've had one, which can be off sometimes. But if you know for sure the exact day you started your period, then you can go from there and its more accurate. Everytime I get an ultrasound done, by due date changes, but I know exactly when I ovulated because I used an ovulation kit, so I know my initial due date was correct.

You are already two weeks pregnant when you conceive. You start your first week when you start your period. So you should be nine weeks pregnant.
9 weeks 0 days.
