What do the different Colors of Electrolytic capacitors represent?
I have noticed that in my TV set, some of the Electrolytic Capacitors are Black, some are green and some are a reddish brown. I know it has NOTHING to do with the Voltage rating of the amount of Capacitance. I suspect it may have something to do with lower ESR or tolerence.
Anyone know the correct answer?

I have never known of the color of an electrolytic capacitor to have any meaning. It's just the color the company decides to use. Sprague likes to use orange, probably just because it helps their product stand out.
