How much more do you think a new 2008 F350 is worth than a new 2006 F350. Same truck, mileage and warranty?
We are going to be buying one of the two. They are identical trucks with the exception of one being 2 years older. (Ford F350 DRW with a 9ft dump bed). One dealer has a 2006 leftover, so we would still get the full warranty since it has never been titled to anyone. They are offering it for $3500 less than the 2008. I am trying to figure out how much more the 2008 is worth, just for having a later mfg date. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Gas engines.
Can't get the 2006 to budge any more in price, have tried several times. $24,900 for the 2006, or $28,400 for the 2008

"Tain't NO question bout' it ~ 2006! 3 thousand & 500 hundred bucks be a lot of denero' and a 2 year difference is not that much. Take a cruise in it with the hubby and then make the final decision. Good luck annnnd "Truck On"...

Note: Am sure that your aware already but, those tilt/dump beds can really come in handy in more ways than one, trust me ~ have used them on a ranches I've worked...

Buy the 2006, the 2008 is going to loose a lot of value just in the transaction, while the 2006 will not.
The only reason to get the 2008 instead of the 2006 is it is newer, not better.
To me it is not worth the extra money just loose it in depreciation.

If they are both diesels, then the 2008 should have quite a bit more power. If they are both gassers, then get they will have identical powertrains. You should really drive both of them and see if the 2008 is worth the money to you. I bet you could haggle another thousand off the 2006 if you really try...

if they are Power Strokes, get the 08 with compound turbos, they make BIG torque over the 6.0 (which is a GREAT diesel). If they are V-10s, get the one that looks better, a 5.4L would be over worked in either.

they should have different engines. i think they drive different as well. drive them both. get the one you like. $3500 is a big difference. i would get the 06 unless you really like the 08.
both gas? then save yourself some money and go with the 06..
