I'm in California and I've been wondering the same thing. At Safeway a couple of months ago, lemons were $1.00 each; that's insane. So when I have fish I only buy 2. My gardener planted a couple of lemon trees in the back yard; maybe now I can make lemonade.

That's how much they are in Florida...in Texas they're about 5 for a $1.00. I never understood why they were more expensive in Fla either! I lived there a few years back and was amazed.
